Zhoukou's Top Ten Projects Participate in the Provincial Promotion Conference and Project Signing Ceremony

　　On the afternoon of August 26th, a special event of the Fifth China Henan International Investment and Trade Fair—a Henan Provincial Situation Briefing and Project Signing Ceremony—was held in the Xuanyuan Hall of the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Ten major domestic and foreign investment projects participated in the signing ceremony in the city, with a contract to attract US\$81 million in foreign investment and RMB 760 million in domestic investment. Mayor Xu Guang, Deputy Mayor Chen Feng, as well as staff from the municipal and county commerce bureaus and representatives from relevant investment and cooperation partners attended the signing ceremony.

　　These ten signed projects include the Shenqiu County Sanzha Textile new production project; the Xihua County Tianying Cylinder Liner expansion project, Glyphosate (herbicide) construction project, and Kaihong Footwear construction project; Huaiyang County's introduced 50,000-spindle textile construction project and new clothing production line project; Shangshui County's MP5 production line construction project; Fugu Hongsheng Machinery construction project and Hengfeng Knitted Shirt production project; and the Dancheng County Shanghai Yihai Grain and Oil construction project. These ten projects include five domestic investment cooperation projects and five foreign investment projects. For example, the Shangshui County People's Government collaborated with Hong Kong Diyu Group (International) Co., Ltd. to invest RMB 200 million to establish Henan Zhongke Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., producing MP5 products and integrated circuit components with advanced domestic technology; Fuzhou Longchuan Machinery Co., Ltd. invested RMB 130 million in Fugu County to produce various seamless steel, seamless steel pipes, and wire rods; Jiangsu Yongda Textile Co., Ltd. invested RMB 150 million in Shenqiu Sanzha Textile's new project; the initial investment of US\$31 million in the Dancheng Shanghai Yihai Grain and Oil soybean acquisition and processing project; and the Sen Shi Group Hong Kong Co., Ltd. invested US\$20 million in a new textile and garment production project in Huaiyang. These projects either have high technological content, strong supporting capabilities with existing local industries, or closely meet the market needs of Zhoukou's large agricultural city, and will play a new role in improving the city's industrial structure and enhancing the competitiveness of the city's industrial economy.

　　Mayor Xu Guang encouraged the city's participating representatives to make good use of this significant platform and seize this major Investment opportunity, attracting many good projects. He emphasized taking advantage of the accelerated transfer of industries from coastal developed areas to central China, improving the quality and efficiency of the city's economic development, and injecting new vitality into the city's leapfrog economic development. Xu Guang also encouraged the commerce system cadres to focus on the \"two transformations and two improvements\", accelerating efficiency, striving to improve quality, changing their style of work, providing all-out service to customers, doing a great job in opening up, exchange, cooperation, and development, and striving to enhance Zhoukou's new image of opening to the outside world.
